Christian New Life Association was built from
an obsolete pig farm with the vision of accepting God's calling. To date
with nine full-time co-workers and more than forty clients in the New Life
Training Camp, a half-way hostel and the in-town general office & counseling
center, all of these are to witness God's doing a new thing of "making a way
in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
Traveling through the
desert is not short in distance and not easy. Abundant blessings are ahead
when tough times have passed. This is God's will and our hope and also the
foreseeable future from prayers of many people. We do not discard the vision
from Heaven and we do pray to have many of you sharing the same vision as
our supporters, prayer partners, and our co-workers.
In the past year, we were
actually building from nothing. It was tough but plentiful results
encouraged us very much. Non-stop evangelical meetings, personal counseling,
discussion in meetings and conferences led us to see the rehabilitated drug
dependents faithfulness in Gospel, life-changing behavior. All of us could
experience God's abundant provisions, guidance and blessings.

Difficulties are hitting
us in all walks of life; we all need to face more challenges and tension.
Pastoral care and directions are widely in demand. In recent years, the
problem of psychotropic substance and drug abuse has become an increasing
threat to our society, so our Association will continue to follow God's
calling to express His love to those people who are "poor" in Spirit, to
accept them into the family of God.
The New Life Training Camp
itself is not a panacea. We have to partner with churches and the Government
to provide integrated services to the drug dependents. I am thankful to the
Narcotics Division and Social Welfare Department to provide support and
assistance in the year of 2002, particularly in the licensing issue.
Moreover, I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to those un-named
individuals who generously donated and voluntarily helped in various aspects
to the Association. Apart from those man hours and donations, greetings,
encouragement and prayers came to move me deeply. My thanks also to Mr. Sam
Cheng and the co-workers, who have been doing a great job maintaining the
smooth operation of the Association.
May God strengthen His job
and give blessings to His beloved ones.
